I've been listening to the Ask Mr. Biggs show for a while, and I've even done a review for the show. Also, we desperately need traffic. In anticipation of the upcoming 3-part Season 1 premiere of NintendoLand, I will go ahead and start writing minis based off the adventures of Sindel, Cena, and gang during the canceled episodes of NintendoLand's innagural season. For now (and until Sindel decides otherwise), the NintendoLand Previews will be exclusive to King Cena's Blog.

Regarding Season 1...

Upon careful deliberation between myself and Sindel (after reading the AWFUL original script), we have decided to condense the small portion of Season 1 that is actually relevant to the rest of the series into a 3-part fiction writing. Sindel will be re-writing what was originally episode 7 of Season 1, "Broken Mirrors" and I will be taking the last 2 episodes, "Prom Night" and "When Angels Deserve to Die".

The reason we're doing this is because much of the first season had nothing in common with the themes and style that the rest of the series has. Much of it was directed towards silliness and comedy, while the rest is mostly dramatic with some light humor fit in.

Regardless, Season 1 has to be postponed for now, but keep checking back for more info on the season as we come along.

EA Blows - An Excerpt from L-Canceled

...I just want to address a growing trend in gaming - buying out the competition. Of course, everyone knows that Electronic Arts, the biggest fat-ass in the industry, is trying ever so hard to eat up Take-Two Interactive. (You'll notice a little rant on the side.)

Of course, everyone knows the reason why EA is doing this. They're scared. It's rather cute, if you think about it. They have nothing (except a few small franchises), so they gobble up the rest of the universe. This is the same company that ate Bioware/Pandemic after KotOR pwned everyone's Xbox back in the day... (ok, maybe that's not the real reason, but it helps.)

If EA succeeds, they'll gain Rockstar, which, as not many people know, developed a little-known gem called Grand Theft Auto IV, alongside Bully and other good franchises. Essentially, they'll take over the world. And if this trend continues, who's to say that companies like EA won't rule the world? I wouldn't be surprised if that. People know that the free market thrives on competitions, but if this trend continues, there may not be any competition left soon.

As if the economy can take another beating.

Cena's Character Blog, Critics, Mia, and more

Sindel seems to like surprising me at every turn, so she created the character blogs for Queen Sindel and Pikachu.

Well... I guess its just revenge for my secret project... That you're not supposed to know about yet. Either way, I'm jumped on said bandwagon and started King Cena's Blog, the official Blog of the King of NintendoLand.

Anyway, over the weekend, it seems that our very own Sindel officially became a "writer." How, you ask? By being the subject ot criticism from a blogger about one of her stories!

...I know, I questioned her sanity when she told me, too. :-P

Anyway, it seems a LiveJournal user by the name of Chaostheory first mentioned Sindy in a rant about the decline of "intelligent" fanficton in certain fandoms. While I do agree with a lot of what he says (such as the inverse proportion between blandness of fanfics and target age of its fandom), I do disagree on the point that a majority of fanfics are as such. Sure, there are a lot of stupid fics out there, but the best you can do is just accept that there are bland fanfics out there. I also disagree on subject matter. Fanfiction represents freedom to take a franchise to areas the original creator didn't think of or did not want to. Sindel's fic Drinks, while certainly interesting, is definately not the worst Fic in the world. She's allowed to write what she wants. On the other end of the spectrum, the guy has all the right in the world to not like the fic. More power to you, buddy - just don't be like Sindel's Pikachu and be an ass about it.

At any rate, I should go ahead and inform you that Season 1 of NintendoLand will become available within the next month - the episodes will need to go through an editing process so that we can have everything in line with future seasons; after all, we do have about 8 seasons worth of stuff already, with Season 9 in production as we speak. No plot holes must exist...though Season 7 will have a few. We'll address them in an F.A.Q. on the b-

NintendoLand...Map?

I think it's only proper to publicize the many places of NintendoLand! I'll eventually draw a map but here are places of interest that appear in the RPG.

The Castle:

Yes, the King and Queen of NintendoLand reside here with highly updated security (only accessible by codes which are only known to the royal couple). The castle stretches to an amazing 385,000 sq. feet (this is smaller only to Winsor Castle of Great Britain) and is much more compacted than Winsor Castle. The many rooms are usually holding only the Royalty's guests and is mostly secluded from the rest of the city. The bedrooms are fashioned with luxury and style, however, gives a comfortable feeling to the guest. The castle also holds a hospital wing to which the King and Queen have their own doctor (the Emergancy Medical Hologram (EMH) or simply Doc) to adminster any medicine or treatments.

There is also a large garden in the back of the castle which holds three fountains and four pathways, ajoined with garden homes and star-gazer lookouts. Also included are two pro-sized Tennis courts where Sindel relives her glory days as a tennis player in High School.

**NintendoLand City**

Triforce Square Buisness Park:

Perhaps the largest business sector, it consists of landmark skyscrapers (such as the infamous Sindel Corporation owned by Jason Sindel), law offices (such owned by Phoenix Wright, Howard Payne, etc) and industry headquarters (Capcom, Sega, etc). The steel buildings and glass give the appearance of a sophiscated yet intelligent sector where money not only talks but also resides.

The Council of NintendoLand:

Located almost directly in the middle of the city, the Council is the true law-making body. It consists of 75 levels of senators across the globe and galaxy, with a staggering rooms of nearly a thousand offices. Because of it's size, the outward appearance may be large but it does not fully show the true size (as the Council has underground Senate Floor rather than above ground).

It's also interesting to note that they have a small park (perhaps 6 acres) to relax the senators. Another interesting note is that it is illegal to build any building near 2 miles to the Council and it is illegal to overshadow it.

NintendoLand Pokemon Stadium:

Perhaps one of the most popular tourist attractions, the Pokemon Stadium of NintendoLand hosts several tournaments of the world-class Pokemon Masters (such as Red and Blue). The stadium has five levels of seating and a private level for VIPs. The battle field is a flat area with battle mechanics that allow the stage to change on random (to water, to rock, to electric, etc) and a comfortable skylight. This is where the Kanto Champion Pikachu will occasionally appear and fight.

G4 Studios:

Ever wanted to meet X-Play personalities Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb? This is the current setting for X-Play (as well as Attack of the Show, Cheat!, etc) is located in. It is located around the East Side of NintendoLand and is open Monday thru Friday, 800hrs-2100hrs.

Golden Coin Artist District:

One district that sets itself apart from the rest of the city is Golden Coin Artist District, located on the West Side of Triforce Square Buisness Park. The walls are painted with goregous murals and the famous NintendoLand theatre resides here. Many actors walk the streets and live here as well as the Hyrule Exhibits (three in all!) where you can see the actual pieces donated by Princess Zelda of the Triforce.

Schools:

There are many schools, one to note most worthy is NintendoLand High School (formerly New City High School (NHS) as this is where King Cena had gone along friends Mia Hansen and Isaac Sanders.
The other note-worthy but higher class would be Jackson High School where Queen Sindel went t school with also many other famous characters.

Poor Housing District:

The blight of many unforunate NintendoLand citizens are not ignored by the goverment. This is where the low-cost housing is for any who can not live or go elsewhere. It has been rebuilt by an odd pyromanic fire but it is still in good condition. King Cena lived here during his youth.

The Theatre:

It is known by no other name. It had been owned by both Kanto Champion Pikachu and Queen Sindel but it is now abandoned--*UP FOR SALE*

Anyhoo, Sindel mentioned in her last post that the story will be given in Script format. That will be the case...for now. We plan on turning them into actual fiction rather than it being a script, but we have 7 seasons worth of stuff to convert. It's gonna take a while. So we'll be releasing episodes in Script format for a time.

And I'm also proud to announce that my next post here will be the first character profile for my character, Alex Cena.

First thing I possibly need to clarify--especially for my own control scheme of characters:

1. Many, many, many of the characters in NintendoLand are often in a chain relationship with others. For instance:

Ash from Pokemon is the younger brother of Pokemon Master Red, who is rival to Gary, younger brother of Pokemon Master Blue, who used to date Sindel in college. (This will eventually appear in an episode....)

Pikachu's best friends are Kirby and Yoshi. Kirby's master is Meta Knight and occasionally appears with Yoshi in political debates in the Senate and they both know Zelda, from LoZ, who used to date Cena back in High School.

See what I mean? There are many chain relationships that are actually quite interesting and clever.

2. Don't expect characters to be exactly as they are in the games. In fact, most of the time, they aren't. Pikachu is a drunk, swear-slurring prick. Kirby is a womanizer and self-proclaimed Romeo. Yoshi is a calm politician. Those are just examples.

3. Cena and I will have the final say on any character that acts a certain way. If there's a problem, we'll probably defend the character. Just saying.

Rule of Thumb:

1. Everything will be in the scripted format.
2. Everyone will have actions within their lines when called for. Such as:

Pikachu: Well, I say we get drunk 'cause I'm out of ideas. *pours a drink*

3. Everything will be written in proper grammar...however, there are some mistakes, as we are human...we'll try to fix them quickly.
4. Nothing NC-17. Sorry, perverts.

Now that we've announced many of the characters in NintendoLand, I've felt a need to clarify on future updates.

There will be several update types...

Character - These posts will introduce new characters and give a mini-backstory on them. There should be a plethora of these in future updates.

Industry News - When something big or note-worthy happens in our favorite industry (the one that makes those games), myself or Sindel will start ranting about it, and you'll be reading it. Deal with it; we need a place to vent.

News - When an update to the site or a big anouncement is needed, we'll bust out these posts.

Episodes - We'll be dishing out episodes in an as-of-yet undisclosed format/schedule in the near future.

Random - For all other types of posts, that have no real relevance.

Characters?

Yes, that is me, Queen Sindel!

My co-founder Cena decided to create the blog and naturally, I'm the last one to know. Just kidding, Cena; ya know I love you.

Anyway, to clear some things up, Cena and I control a series of characters that is almost evenly divided between us (mainly, whoever first brings that character in controls them, but Meta Knight will be the only exception to that). For sake of my sanity, I will only do the characters that appear regularly:

As I stated before, the characters that we control are usually brought in by ourselves originally. However, in an interesting twist, Alexis was orignally concieved by Cena during Season 2 but I christened her 'Alexis' (a feminine version of 'Alex', the villian of the season). Another will be that Meta Knight was orignally shown in Season 4 which I gave him the one line, but he will be controlled by Cena in Season 8.

All characters for any season are up in the air. However, we do not randomly bring in characters. The characters selection always has to be in tune with the storyline, mainly because it's difficult for the other person to write around a randomly written character. For instance, if Cena and I were writing a episode out and I would randomly bring in...oh, let's say...Zim, from Invader Zim (THIS LINE HAS BEEN HAXXED) into a plotline about Alexis and Isaac's relationship, Cena would probably try and kill me. He would probably try and kill me anyway because he hates Zim, but that's not the point. Point is, we silently and mutually agreed that all characters, even cameos, must have something to do with the plotline currently.

Now then, Cena has mentioned that Season 7 is still delayed. This is true, but I actually have Season 8 all planned out. We also have ideas for future seasons.

Now, you're probably going, "WTF? Why are you calling them seasons?" Like a TV show, seasons have many stories that are trapped in their own little bubble. It's a lot easier to call them chapters, in my opinion. Perhaps the best way is that episodes are written in the script format and it could very well project into a show.

I'll probably wait for Cena to give his share of explainations and for now...adieu.

You, good sir/madam, are now in the presence of history.

This blog is designed to bring to you, the public, NintendoLand.

Now, you may be thinking "That's all fine and dandy, but what the **** is NintendoLand, anyway?"

NintendoLand was started in 2007 by myself and my partner-in-crime, Sindel. Together, using the amazing power of Yahoo Instant Messenger, we have crafted 6 seasons (with 2 more in pre-production) of a megacrossover. Though they have been mostly dialogue (with some stage direction), we have always planned to bring this gift to the masses.

Now, when we say megacrossover, we MEAN that. Although the 2 main characters, Sindel and Cena, are original characters, there are tons of characters from primaraly Nintendo-based universes, with others as well, with examples including...

The Harry Potter universe
real-life television personalities from G4tv (including a ninja Kevin Pereira and a lesbian Morgan Webb
DC comics (Slade "Deathstroke" Wilson, the Teen Titans)
Marvel (X-Men)
others soon to come

Most of the storylines are original, but some are retellings of classic stories from other franchises (like the story of Jean Grey/Phoenix, only it's someone else now...)

We are very happy to be sharing this grand story with the world, and hope to have a fanbase soon! Keep checking back for more information regarding this grand endeavor!
